Insidebike tools: frame geometry search and gearing comparisons

By insidebike

Insidebike now has a frame geometry tool, with 121 models and 708 frame sizes across 22 brands at launch. Search by brand or model, then open a frame page for size-by-size geometry, tyre-clearance information and links to the original sources. Catalogue coverage is still growing; check the listed model year and source before using the figures for a buying decision.

The gear calculator also compares two setups. Save your current configuration, edit the second and switch between them before comparing speed at 60, 90 or 110 rpm, or effort scores. The table shows differences in speed and the jumps between gears; cassettes with different sprocket counts can be aligned manually.

Aligned rows use the same modelled slope. A summary compares minimum and maximum speeds and cassette range, calculated as largest sprocket divided by smallest, multiplied by 100: an 11–44 cassette has a 400% range. Effort settings include an adjustable FTP; the power figures remain estimates, not measurements.
